kids ministries

We place a great emphasis on the importance of teaching our Kids about what it looks like to follow Jesus with our entire lives. Our curriculum is custom-tailored to be direct from God's Word and often mirrors the teaching being shared with our adults. Our reason for this is: we believe that while the opportunities that our pastors and teachers have with the kids are incredibly valuable, nothing will overshadow the value of a family learning and growing TOGETHER.

Our Sunday morning programming is focused on learning stories and lessons from the books of the Bible. Our Wednesday evening programming - BreakOut - is geared towards grasping other topics in the life of a Christ Follower by deeply looking into God's word.

We offer programming on Sundays for all ages from infant-6th grade, and for ages four years old-6th grade on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 P.M. during our active seasons. Childcare is available on Wednesday evenings for infant-3 years.

At Riverlawn Student Ministries, we are about making disciples who make disciples, all for the glory of God. We’re committed to 7th-12th grade students and their families. From our small group sessions to our times of teaching to the events that we participate in, we strive to provide atmospheres and spaces where students can Follow Jesus, Be Changed by Jesus, and Commit to the Mission of Jesus. Our desire is to partner with and walk alongside parents in the discipleship of their kids.

Our weekly gatherings - called Impact - take place in the Youth Room on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM where we fellowship, worship through song, and study the Word of God (in large and small group settings). Sunday mornings we meet in the Youth Room from 9:30-10:30 AM for a similar time of worship and study.

Young adults

Young Adult Ministry is currently meeting weekly on Sunday nights from 6:30-8 P.M. From recent high school graduates to almost 30, this is a great opportunity for young adults to gather with their peers and discuss the Word and how to connect to the work of Christ in their lives. It’s a time in the Word, in community, in worship, and in service. For more information, contact Josh Gores at

Missions represents our focus as Christians to strategically reach out to people in areas of the world who have not heard the good news about Jesus Christ. We work in two different areas: globally and locally. Currently we partner with many missions overseas including Japan, China, Indonesia, Albania, Italy, Africa, and Haiti, among others. Locally, we partner with Youth Horizons, Union Rescue Mission, and the Pregnancy Crisis Center here in Wichita. Our goal is to meet physical and spiritual needs by planting more Christ-centered Churches. If you have any questions or a desire to get involved, email

women's ministry

The Women of Worth (WOW) ministry's purpose is to honor God by encouraging women as they grow in their personal relationship with Christ; develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women while providing discipleship, fellowship, spiritual support and serving the community and one another. We exist to provide all women a safe place to serve, fellowship, learn, grow and help others grow with the common vision of making disciples who make disciples.

Women of Royalty Wichita Conference - Saturday, April 28, 9 A.M.-3 P.M., Fireside Room. Many women have been involved with or aware of Christian Home classes and Essentials for Married Women classes. Riverlawn's own Stella Fisher taught that in the past with such dedication and wisdom. Once again Stella Fisher, Bonnie Siemans and their team bring that wisdom to us through a conference based on the biblical teachings of roles and goals for married women. This conference is coming to our very own church for a full day event which includes inspirational speakers, breakout sessions, a tote bag of goodies, Breakfast Bites and a delicious lunch by Kaye's Catering. This is definitely a spring WOW Event that you will want to get on your calendar! Cost is $20 and registration will be April 1-8. Childcare will be provided.
