kids ministries

We place a great emphasis on the importance of teaching our Kids about what it looks like to follow Jesus with our entire lives. Our curriculum is custom-tailored to be direct from God's Word and often mirrors the teaching being shared with our adults. Our reason for this is: we believe that while the opportunities that our pastors and teachers have with the kids are incredibly valuable, nothing will overshadow the value of a family learning and growing TOGETHER.

Our Sunday morning programming is focused on learning stories and lessons from the books of the Bible. Our Wednesday evening programming - BreakOut - is geared towards grasping other topics in the life of a Christ Follower by deeply looking into God's word.

We offer programming on Sundays for all ages from infant-6th grade, and for ages four years old-6th grade on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 P.M. during our active seasons. Childcare is available on Wednesday evenings for infant-3 years.

At Riverlawn Student Ministries, we are about making disciples who make disciples, all for the glory of God. We’re committed to 7th-12th grade students and their families. From our small group sessions to our times of teaching to the events that we participate in, we strive to provide atmospheres and spaces where students can Follow Jesus, Be Changed by Jesus, and Commit to the Mission of Jesus. Our desire is to partner with and walk alongside parents in the discipleship of their kids.

Our weekly gatherings - called Impact - take place in the Youth Room on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM where we fellowship, worship through song, and study the Word of God (in large and small group settings). Sunday mornings we meet in the Youth Room from 9:30-10:30 AM for a similar time of worship and study.

Missions represents our focus as Christians to strategically reach out to people in areas of the world who have not heard the good news about Jesus Christ. Riverlawn seeks to actively engage in three specific areas of mission outreach: to multiply, equip, and restore. Riverlawn works together with mission organizations locally, nationally, and globally in order to multiply God's Kingdom through church-planting and discipleship, equip believersfor the Lord's work through justice, help, and meeting practical needs. young adults

The Young Adult ministry meets Sunday nights in Room C-4 (Young Adult Room), located on the northwest corner of the gym. This ministry is for recent high school graduates through twenty-somethings and they gather for a time of community, prayer, and study. This semester, they're studying the book of Hebrews. women's ministry

Riverlawn's Women's Ministry, Women of Worth (WOW), exists to allow women to get better connected through studying, serving, support, and socially growing in friendship and in spiritual maturity. We share the RCC vision of making disciples who make disciples through each shared activity.

There are now monthly activities planned to help you feel connected to other women as we grow closer to each other and to Christ.Your Women's Ministry is committed to making disciples who make disciples and we need to be together to make that happen.

WOW focuses our ministry around 4 pillars.

1. Study: Providing women the opportunity to study God's word.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

2. Service: Women need opportunities to serve others.

1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms.

3. Support: Women need safe places where they can find Biblically sound support.

Ecclesiastes 4:10 - If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

4. Social: Women benefit by regularly meeting together with other believers.

Hebrews 10:25 - not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—

and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

WOW strives for all events to be held up by at least two of these pillars.
