This is a resource for Small Group Leaders and Members to see where there are opportunities to serve as a group at Riverlawn Christian Church. This is a way great way to not only serve those that attend but share the love of Christ as a group to those that may be in need of a smile or assistance!

Communion Prep/Clean Up

Communion is a vital part of our weekly worship services at Riverlawn. Communion prep and cleanup is an opportunity to serve the Body by pouring juice in all of the trays for Sunday as well as preparing the wafers. Cleanup involves clearing leftover trays on Sundays, throwing out leftover juice, and staging new cups. This opportunity is a part of a rotational role. If your group is interested in serving here, please contact Greg Schuessler at

Great Day of Service

One Sunday each year, we participate in a worship service in which we gather and then go. We pack into the Auditorium for congregational worship and communion before leaving the campus to serve others. The Great Day of Service is an annual event each April in which we go beyond our walls to serve our community both near and far. This is a perfect opportunity for small groups to serve together. Student Ministry Tailgates

Taking place on the last Sunday of every other month from 4:00-5:30pm, Student Tailgates are times where students gather for community building and a meal. Small Groups can take the opportunity to serve the next generation together by providing the food for the evening (for approximately 50-60 people). Volunteers prep the meal, serve it, and clean up. The next Student Tailgate is Sunday, March 29th. Interested in helping out or want more details? Contact Rita Zapata at
