Riverlawn Student Ministry

Riverlawn Student Ministry exists to Make Disciples Who Make Disciples with 6-12th grade students. We do so through a combination of age-specific ministry programs, as well as ministry that supports biological and spiritual parents to grow as the primary disciple-makers in the family.

Champion Parents

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

We believe that discipleship is Jesus’ call for His church and that God designed parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children. Riverlawn is devoted to Championing parents by building community, and creating and gathering resources to help parents live and grow as disciple-makers.

Oct 4th – This meeting we are going to discuss “Deal-Breaker Questions”. Deal-Breaker Questions are questions like “Is God Real?”, “Is the Bible Trustworthy” or “Are there any Absolute Truths?”. Your kids are already hearing these questions at school and online and are discussing them, and so we are going to talk about how we as parents can reinforce the answers to these questions with powerful biblical truths.
